The Art of Fluidity: Vintage Geometry and Pearlescent Reflections

The BOWIE fabric is an authentic celebration of sensorial fluidity and archival-inspired design. This noble blend of natural fibres elevates a 1970s-inspired geometric pattern and classic neckwear motifs into a dimension of pure contemporary luxury, where the fabric moves with an almost liquid sinuosity.

The design develops across a beige ground with a delicate luminous pearlescent reflection, creating a refined and elegant canvas. Over this light base, a hypnotic architecture of stylised circles and tie-inspired motifs comes to life, masterfully defined by an alternating palette of warm sand, intense tobacco and rigorous black.

This retro-inspired combination, enhanced by the natural lustre of silk and viscose, gives the fabric a magnetic allure and a timeless dandy-chic versatility.

The Handle

The perfect balance between silk and viscose delivers an exceptional tactile experience. The handle is extraordinarily soft, smooth and fluid, with a beautifully cascading drape that caresses the body with every movement.

The fabric has no stiffness whatsoever: it is lightweight yet substantial, with excellent coverage.

Unisex Fabric Recommended For:

  • Fluid Shirts and Blouses: Tailored men’s and women’s shirts with a refined dandy-inspired character.
  • Soft Garments: Kaftans and couture dressing gowns.
  • Fluid Trousers and Skirts: Wide-leg palazzo trousers that move sinuously with every step, or lightweight skirts with a soft, flowing drape.
  • Ideal as a Luxury Lining: Perfect as an internal lining for garments defined by discreet sophistication.

Care and Storage Instructions: Preserving the Lustre of Silk

The delicate nature of silk and viscose requires careful maintenance in order to preserve the fabric’s fluid handle and the pearlescent finish of the ground.

  • Cleaning: Dry clean only (P) at a specialist cleaner. Avoid washing in water, as this may cause shrinkage or alter the lustrous finish of the fibres. Do not tumble dry.
  • Ironing: Iron at a low temperature, maximum 110°C / 230°F, exclusively on the reverse side of the fabric, preferably using a dry protective pressing cloth. Avoid direct steam in order to prevent water marks from forming on the satin-like surface.
  • Storage: Store the fabric or finished garment hanging in a breathable fabric garment bag, away from direct light sources, in order to preserve the delicacy of the pearlescent beige tone.
