The Fabric
The excellence of Biella’s tradition in an elite fabric that embodies two souls of style. This 290/300-gram worsted comes from the heart of Biella’s wool district, sealed with the prestigious “GOLDEN QUALITY SUPER 120 MADE IN ITALY” selvedge. The surface offers impeccable stability, exceptional crease resistance, and a smooth hand with perfect sartorial plumb.
The design plays with sophisticated optical mimicry: a subtle tone-on-tone Prince of Wales pattern unfolds against a dark blue background, intersected by a very fine and discreet blue windowpane stripe. From a distance, it resembles a windowpane; from a closer view, it reveals a Prince of Wales check. A cultured and British elegance, perfect for the contemporary businessman.
Available Cuts & Versatility
The lot is offered in two identical cuts of the same piece, which can be combined for maximum tailoring flexibility:
OFFCUT MT 3.30: Ideal for making a classic suit (jacket and trousers).
OFFCUT MT 1.25: The exact length needed to create a single, high-quality tailored pair of trousers.
The two cuts combined (3.30 m + 1.25 m): Allow for the creation of advanced projects, such as a double-breasted suit with a matching vest or a complete suit with a second pair of trousers (ideal for doubling the suit’s longevity).
HAND EFFECT: Clean, snappy, responsive, and with excellent plumb lines.
Style Tips
A fabric designed for formal business or event wear. It pairs perfectly with white or light blue twill shirts and ties in shades of navy blue, burgundy, or pearl gray. Black or dark brown Oxford lace-ups complete the perfect gentleman’s outfit.
Care and Maintenance
Washing: Dry clean only at a specialized cleaner.
Drying: Hang on a suitable hanger in a well-ventilated area. Do not tumble dry.
Ironing: At medium heat (max. 150°C) with a protective cotton cloth between ironing and ironing.
Drying: Leave the garment to rest for 24 hours outside the closet after use to allow the Super 120 fibers to naturally remove creases.
