The Art of Relief: Nocturnal Chiaroscuro and Three-Dimensional Depth

The fabric from the “L’Arte del Rilievo” collection, in the Midnight Blue and Violet colourway, is an authentic celebration of sculptural craftsmanship and chromatic complexity. This exclusive brocade elevates its matte jacquard satin base into a richly pictorial and deeply dimensional surface, where the intricate construction of the fabric evokes the mystery and allure of a nocturnal garden illuminated by magnetic reflections.

The fabric features a rich, dense raised floral ramage motif flowing continuously across the entire width in an all-over design. The absolute matte black ground provides the ideal contrast, allowing the three-dimensional floral forms to emerge with striking depth through an extraordinary interplay of yarns.

Its sophisticated colour palette ranges from deep blue and navy, through aviation blue and muted mid-blue tones, gradually transitioning into intense shades of violet and aubergine. An exceptional detail is the introduction of a subtle matte silver-grey metallic yarn within selected floral elements.

The Handle: Full-Bodied Structure with Silky Support

The complex jacquard satin construction, combined with rich supplementary wefts, creates a perfect balance between substantial structure and refined flexibility.

The fabric has a dense, full-bodied handle with excellent shape retention, making it ideal for supporting complex architectural cuts. At the same time, it avoids excessive stiffness thanks to the silk and viscose content, which preserves the refined tactile quality traditionally associated with luxury fabrics from the Como textile district.

Recommended for Haute Couture Creations:

  • Tailored Outerwear: Structured evening coats, sculptural statement jackets and luxurious couture dust coats.
  • Evening and Formal Dresses: Ideal for dramatic silhouettes, mermaid gowns with architectural volume, or grand evening dresses requiring exceptional presence and structure.
  • Architectural Skirts: Perfect for supporting corolla-shaped volumes, box pleats and asymmetric constructions requiring a substantial texture and defined structural support.

Care and Storage Instructions: Preserving Structure and Relief

The precious nature of the yarns, particularly Silk and Viscose, combined with the complexity of the raised motifs and the presence of metallic yarn, requires particularly delicate care in order to preserve the three-dimensional character of the jacquard and the brilliance of its nocturnal colour palette over time.

  • Cleaning: Dry clean only (P) at a specialist dry cleaner. Washing in water, bleaching and tumble drying are strictly prohibited, as these processes may compromise the stability of the silk fibres and damage the three-dimensional relief.
  • Ironing: Iron at a low temperature, maximum 110°C / 230°F, exclusively on the reverse side of the fabric and with a dry protective pressing cloth placed between the iron and the material. Avoid excessive steam and never apply strong pressure to the face of the fabric, in order to prevent flattening the multidimensional floral relief and altering the lustre of the silver-grey metallic yarn.
