THE EXCELLENCE OF DORMEUIL MANUFACTURING
A premium fabric from Dormeuil, one of the most prestigious historic textile houses in the world. This signature cut combines refined Parisian taste with the unparalleled craftsmanship of Made in England, according to the most rigorous and centuries-old British traditions.
FABRIC TECHNICAL PROFILE:
Origin: Huddersfield, England
Composition: 100% High-Quality Merino Virgin Wool
Fiber Fineness: Super 120s (Micrometric fiber diameter, synonymous with extreme softness and extraordinary lightness)
Weight: 300 grams per linear meter. The ideal medium weight for cold and mid-seasons, ensuring impeccable tailoring, fluidity, and flawlessness.
Special Line: ICE. An exclusive patented finish that gives the fabric thermal stability, a silky feel, and extremely high resistance to creasing caused by daily use.
COLORS AND WEAVE: THE TAILORED DETAIL
The fabric stands out for its refined, subtle aesthetic, far removed from the banality of industrial fabrics:
The Base: A deep, rigorous dark gray, the perfect canvas for masculine elegance.
The Weave: A sophisticated herringbone pattern. This three-dimensional design captures the light with every movement, lending dynamism and radiance to the figure.
The Pinstripe: A sartorial stripe from another era. The vertical lines are not monochromatic, but alternate the warm shades of earthy sand with a subtle touch of baby blue. A rare color contrast that ennobles the suit with a touch of distinct personality and modernity.
A fabric destined to become a staple in the wardrobe of a true connoisseur. Unisex fabric. Cut suitable for making suits. The sale is for the entire supply.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE
Dormeuil Super 120s fabrics are living creations that retain their beauty over time if treated with the right care. To preserve the extraordinary softness of merino fiber and the thermal finish of the ICE line, we recommend following these simple but essential tips:
Washing: Have the garment dry cleaned exclusively by specialized cleaners. Never wash in water or use bleach.
Ironing: Iron at low or medium heat, preferably placing a damp cotton cloth between the iron and the fabric to prevent the fibers from becoming shiny. Use steam sparingly.
Drying and Storage: Do not tumble dry. In case of humidity or rain, let the garment dry naturally on an anatomical wooden hanger, away from direct heat sources. Store in the closet using breathable fabric covers and natural moth-repellent products (such as cedar wood).
The tailor’s secret: Super 120s wool has a natural elastic memory. After wearing the suit, let it “rest” by hanging it in the open air for 24 hours: the fibers will relax on their own, eliminating creases without the need for ironing.
** DORMEUIL: A CENTURY AND A HALF OF PURE TEXTILE EXCELLENCE
Founded in 1842 by the young and far-sighted Jules Dormeuil, the maison began in Paris as an importer of the world’s finest fabrics. The insight that would forever change the history of men’s elegance was as simple as it was revolutionary: combining the innate sense of style and Parisian tailoring with centuries-old British craftsmanship. [1]
Jules and his brothers established production in Huddersfield, in the heart of Yorkshire, England, where the pure water of the local rivers and traditional looms create wools of unparalleled softness and finish.
For over 180 years, Dormeuil has dressed kings, presidents, and icons of world cinema, positioning itself as the absolute reference for the most demanding tailors on the planet. Choosing a Dormeuil fabric means wearing a piece of history, where the tradition of Made in England meets the technological innovation of luxury yarns.
