THE ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE OF NOBLE FIBRE

This fabric represents the absolute pinnacle of global textile excellence, a unique opportunity originating from a prestigious Lanificio Colombo production surplus (unsigned and without labels). We are speaking of an openable double-face fabric in 100% Baby Cashmere, a fibre of legendary rarity obtained through the gentle combing of young Capra Hircus goats within their first year of life.

This exceptionally scarce raw material defines the fabric’s exclusivity and delivers an indescribable sensation against the skin in terms of warmth, lightness and softness.

The exceptional value of this precious Biella selection lies in its complete chromatic purity:

  • Side A: A sublime Natural Ivory, original and completely undyed.
  • Side B: A sophisticated Very Light Beige Mélange, also strictly undyed.

Two shades created by nature itself, preserving the original structural integrity of the fibre and giving the fabric an extraordinarily delicate, soft, velvety and almost weightless hand. This exceptional softness is complemented by a subtle and deeply natural luminosity, beautifully revealed through movement: particularly on the ivory side, light glides across the surface, visually expressing the extraordinary nobility of the raw material.

AN EXCLUSIVE FINISH – PLEASE FOLLOW THE TECHNICAL TAILORING NOTES CAREFULLY

With a substantial weight of 700 grams per linear metre, this double-face fabric nevertheless possesses an extraordinarily ethereal character. To meet the sophisticated stylistic requirements of its high-end collection, the fabric has undergone a special finishing process designed to enhance the maximum possible softness of the fibre.

This advanced treatment fully releases the cloud-like character of the Baby Cashmere, creating a floating handle with virtually no structural rigidity.

To respect the exceptional softness of this finish and avoid mechanical tension on the yarn, we recommend tailoring constructions designed to follow the fabric naturally, without restriction, fully respecting its relaxed structure and avoiding unnecessary stress on the fibre.

The following styles are therefore recommended:

  • Elite Capes, Cloaks and Stoles: Ideal for generous, flowing capes, cloaks and stoles. In these creations, the fabric expresses its beauty to the fullest and may be worked confidently as a double-face fabric, either opened at the edges or left unopened, as the soft silhouettes fall naturally without placing tension on the fibre.
  • Deconstructed Coats and Outerwear: If the fabric is used for a coat, the silhouette should be strictly soft and fluid. Ideal constructions include classic wrap coats, kimono-style coats or highly deconstructed designs. In every case, the garment should ALWAYS be fully lined: the inner lining is the essential technical element that distributes the weight of the garment evenly, supports generous silhouettes and protects the integrity of the fibre from tensile stress.
  • Also ideal for creating exceptionally warm and soft luxury throws.

XCLUSIVITY AGAINST THE SKIN

Wearing Baby Cashmere produced within the renowned Biella textile district means embracing a truly unique sensory experience. An elite fabric created for connoisseurs of exceptional quality who understand how to respect the natural character of a yarn designed above all to deliver extraordinary softness and luminosity.

CARE AND STORAGE GUIDE

Due to the extremely precious nature of the fibre and the complete absence of chemical dyes, this fabric requires the highest level of care:

  • Cleaning: Entrust only to high-end specialist cleaners for gentle, environmentally responsible dry cleaning.
  • Treatments: Do not use bleach, chlorine or aggressive enzymatic detergents.
  • Drying: Do not tumble dry. Always dry flat, in the shade and away from direct heat sources to preserve the natural elasticity of the yarn.
  • Ironing: Iron only at very low temperature using a clean white cotton protective cloth. Preferably use steam from a distance without applying direct pressure to the fibre.
