THE REGENERATION OF CASHMERE

The cashmere regeneration process begins with the recovery and selection of the recycled yarns to be processed to be transformed into regenerated yarn.

The yarn passes through a hand-made sorting where the impurities that are not 100% cashmere are removed; it then passes to fraying, which reduces these wastes into small pieces obtaining a cashmere fleece through carding. Finally, the regenerated fiber will be twisted to be reinforced, until it is transformed into totally new yarns

Once the process is finished, new fabric is obtained  with qualities similar to virgin cashmere, sustainable and using less energy, water and chemical substances.

– 80%  electricity consumption
– 95% carbon dioxide consumption

All this energy saving (and above all a cost equivalent to 1/3 of virgin cashmere) allows us to offer a product with unique qualities, at an accessible price.

Unlike the new fibre, the regenerated cashmere, while maintaining all its qualities of softness and warmth, is born with a slightly more opaque texture: this is due to the strong twist to make the yarn more resistant.
